X-VAC vacuum t-slot plates

Our X-VAC C45 carbon steel hybrid clamping system is ideal for heavy duty machining.

The clamping system consists of a cross t-slot plate (18 mm slots) with retractable vacuum cups and ensures vibration free heavy duty machining by combining these two methods of clamping.

When machining steel or at large chip depths, conventional vacuum clamping force limitations are reached. Often resulting in a horizontal displacement of your work piece.

The X-Vac clamping system has minimalist stops at all axis therefore the contour of the workpiece remains largely free for machining,

Special t-nuts are pushed in the t-slots up to the edge of the workpiece. The t-slots are not recessed in the clamping plate like the usual ones, but raised between a few tenths to a 2 mm.

For example, large cutting forces can be achieved with a stop height of only 0.5 mm. In this process, the vacuum serves to eliminate vibrations by pulling the workpiece down onto the clamping plate.

The suction cups can be closed quickly so the plate can be used as a standard, solid or cross t-slot plate.
